Given the rapid evolution of radiation oncology, it is essential to employ consistent and dependable methods and tools for positioning and immobilization to ensure reproducibility in advanced treatment techniques. It is important to identify any unresolved issues to determine how well internal structures positioning and external immobilization meet the specific requirements of global and site-specific patient populations. During this session, participants will examine current immobilization practices and their effects on patient comfort during treatment, emphasizing the critical nature of maintaining a reproducible position in particle beam therapy. During our discussion, we will examine comfort dimensions and how reproducibility and devices might affect the final dose distribution.
