This session will address the crucial role of external dosimetry audits in ensuring safety, quality improvement, certification for clinical trials, and for the clinical implementation of new techniques. We will describe various types of audits, from reference dosimetry audits to end-to-end audits of advanced techniques, addressing their different designs, including their specific designs, methodologies, and frequencies. The session will be divided into four parts, with speakers presenting on the implementation of audits in Australia, Japan, China, and Europe. These presentations will cover: • The rationale for external dosimetry audits • Promoting equality in patient care, outcomes, and safety • The importance of IMRT and IGRT audits in clinical trials • Virtual and remote audit systems • Insights on European dosimetry audit services Join us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different approaches to dosimetry audits and their impact on clinical practice worldwide.
