This symposium will discuss next generation curriculum design and delivery opportunities. Advanced learning environments, the ways in which education is evolving, and how oncology needs to adapt alongside it will be topic of discussion. The symposium will present some of the frontrunners in the field of virtual reality and augmented reality. They will present current progress and discuss possibilities and limitations of these tools and how their integration into radiation oncology curriculum designs can benefit all key stakeholders in radiation oncology education (students, educators, and patients). The symposium will end with two proffered papers on advances in radiation oncology education.
