2020 Elections


Voting is now open until 4 March 2020.

In 2020, four seats of Directors of the Board, including President-Elect, will be renewed, and elections will be organized. 

In its meeting of 25 November, the Board, following proposal from the Nominating Council and consultation of Committees, approved the names of the following candidates.

For the positions of Board Member  (one seat - 3-year term/renewable once):

All ESTRO full members in 2020 who have also been members in 2019 are eligible to vote in the 2020 ESTRO Board and presidential election. 

Please note that Wednesday 5 February is the last day to renew your membership for 2020 and be eligible to vote! Click here to renew now.

A few days before the start of the election, all ESTRO members eligible to vote will receive a username and password which will allow them access to the election platform;

Voting period: Tuesday 18/02/2020 – Wednesday 04/03/2020

The official announcement and beginning of term will take place at the General Assembly during ESTRO2020, in Vienna.

As per Article 6, Section 3 of ESTRO's Articles of Associations:

"The President shall be elected by the General Assembly for a period of six (6) years whereby he/she
shall serve the first two (2) years as President-Elect, the following two (2) years as President and the
last two (2) years as Past-President."

As per Article 5.2 of ESTRO's Internal Rules of Procedure, which themselves follow from the Society's Articles of Association:

"The Board of Directors shall consist of maximum fifteen (15) members whereby:
Next to the President, the Past-President, the President-Elect, the Treasurer and the Editor-in-
Chief (advisory), and the Director of the ESTRO School (advisory):
- at least one representative of each of the following disciplines shall be represented:
a. Radiobiology
b. Brachytherapy
c. Radiation Therapy technologists - and at least two representatives of each of the following
disciplines shall be represented:
d. Medical Physicist
e. Clinician"
