ESTRO Webinar on Gynaecological Cancers: Vaginal Cancer

The webinar course is aimed at radiation and gynaecology oncologists, medical physicists and radiation therapists (RTTs) involved in vaginal cancer treatments and interested in the implementation of image guidance. Course participants should have specific interest in and/or initial experience with implementation of advanced MRI based brachytherapy and advanced EBRT techniques (IMRT/IGRT).

To provide a comprehensive update on current clinical evidence and future directions regarding the role of radiotherapy for vaginal cancer (primary and recurrence) with a focus on brachytherapy. Additionally, to provide hands on experience on target concept contouring and treatment planning.

Starting at 08.45 CET and ending at 16.00 CET.

Before the webinar, pre-webinar homework will be sent out that needs to be complete before the course. The pre-workshop homework will consist of contouring on the Falcon EduCase platform, and creation of  treatment plans based on a case. The webinar course itself will be held on the course date on Zoom completely virtually.

Application for CME recognition will be submitted to the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE). ACOE credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). Information on the status of the applications can be obtained from the ESTRO office.
