Overview: The first talk “Assessing health literacy (HL) in RT patients” will cover; Background of communication skills and HL for RT’s, HL assessments within RT, HL tools & recommendation, Benefits and barriers to HL and future Recommendations. The second talk “Information barriers for older patients with intellectual disability (ID) in accessing cancer treatment” will discuss the background ID and cancer, Barrier types, EuCan qualitative preliminary results and future recommendations. The third talk “Improving RT information for LGBTIQ+ patients” discussion will include background of healthcare inequities for LGBTIQ+ patients, considerations for LGBTIQ+ patients undergoing RT, inclusive communication and cultural sensitivity in patient communication, psychosocial needs, community support and health care professional education and development.
