More to the nodes, less to the breast
Ivica Ratosa, Slovenia;
Orit Kaidar-Person, Israel
This clinical symposium will feature lectures on tailoring radiation therapy for breast cancer according to risk of recurrence: in which cases the addition of regional node irradiation to axillary surgery has added value for breast cancer outcomes, in which cases radiation can replace axillary surgery and in which cases radiation therapy to the breast and regional lymphatics can be omitted safety. All speakers are leading from important trials and collaborative groups, like PRIME II, EBCTCG and SENOMAC. We look forward to a vivid discussion on indications, volumes, dose and fractionation, to provide an in-depth understanding of the future of breast radiation therapy.
