Overview: As it is nowadays possible to correct for internal organ motion “on the fly” using real-time imaging as a GPS on the search for cancer, the question can be raised if adaptive strategies like the library of plan approaches are still of use. Library of plan approaches are widely used for example for bladder, cervix, rectal and for stomach cancer. On the other sides, real-time adaptive radiotherapy might also not even be perfect. In the debate there will be discussed whether there is still a role for the plan libraries approach in the era of real-time adaptive radiotherapy.
