Will automation of radiotherapy tasks solve more problems than it causes?

The session will focus on description, applications and perspectives provided by automation in EBRT. Autocontouring model’s training workflow as well as model generalizability will be presented. Performance evaluation measures and model monitoring in clinical practice will also be addressed. The physician view on automatic target delineation will be given with possible caveats. Automated treatment planning solutions and automation for adaptive online workflows will be described with their advantages and drawbacks. Furthermore, the use of automated solutions in LMIC will especially highlight the need of safe clinical implementation, training of professionals and guidelines.
