Overview: Dose painting for head and neck cancer, person-centred care (PCC) and percussion assisted radiation therapy (PART) are forms of individualized radiotherapy. In this session we will hear about the FiGaRO dose painting trial, and the work involved setting up a PET-based dose painting service for head and neck. What is meant by person-centred care will be discussed, the role RTTs play in PCC and why it is important are the second topic in this session. Finally, Percussion Assisted Radiation Therapy (PART) allows a prolonged apnoea-like suppression of respiratory motion will be discussed, which may facilitate a more personalised treatment plan.
