Francesca Nella works as a Senior Dosimetrist at the University Hospital of Zürich (USZ). She completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at the University of Verona (Italy), with a thesis on proton therapy developed at the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI), Villigen (Switzerland). She graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering from the University of Applied Science in Wiener Neustadt (Austria) while working as a medical dosimetrist at USZ. Her Master’s thesis focused on Patient Specific Quality Assurance (PSQA) in MR-only RT workflow, which was successfully implemented in the clinic. She is specialized in advanced treatment planning techniques, synthetic CT for MR-only workflow and automation in treatment planning.
