I’d like to draw your attention to a number of exciting new positions within the radiotherapy physics department at GenesisCare UK, we are currently looking for 2 senior dosimetrists (Nottingham and Maidstone) and 1 lead physicist (Newmarket).
Who we are:
This year, GenesisCare will treat more than 30,000 patients across 4 countries and 72 Cancer centres. In the UK, we operate 13 centres and have ambitious expansion plans over the next 3 years. We are looking for highly motivated and ambitious Physicists and Dosimetrists who are keen to challenge the status-quo and change the access, quality and efficiency of overall patient treatment care. For more information or an informal chat please feel free to contact myself [details at the bottom].
We have a network of state-of-the-art centres in Birmingham, Chelmsford, Elstree, Guildford, Maidstone, Milton Keynes, Newmarket, Nottingham, Oxford, Portsmouth, Southampton, Windsor and most recently London. Our combined purpose is to provide excellence in patient care, deliver superior clinical outcomes and to continue to make a significant impact on the current service-access gap in these non-discretionary areas of health care globally.
2019 will see the introduction of MRgRT via the ViewRay MRIdian, the first of which will bring adaptive radiotherapy into our Oxford site. This centre of excellence combines the MRIdian with a 3T Siemens Skyra MRI, PetCT, Theranostics and SRS using Brainlab Elements TPS and Exactrac. GenesisCare have also signed a 10-year research partnership with the University of Oxford to improve diagnosis and care for people with cancer. Alongside these new innovative installations, we are continuously developing all current treatment modalities, some examples across the GCUK network are; Increase in SBRT, SGRT/IGRT, Introduction of SRS, Partial breast/SIB, hypofractionation, MRI focussed treatment planning, fMRI, PetCT, AI, automation and much more.
Lead Physicist – Newmarket
Senior Dosimetrist – Nottingham, Maidstone
We are looking to expand our Medical Physics team with the introduction of 3 highly motivated and ambitious team players. Newmarket is one of our newest sites and has a growing SABR service. I would like to hear from HCPC & RPA2000 MPEs from all clinical specialties of radiotherapy, particularly those with SABR, treatment planning and IGRT experience for the role of Lead Physicist. Highly driven and aspiring physicists with less experience are also welcomed.
All of our centres operate as part of a centralised planning system, connected via Citrix, offering complete remote access to staff and clinicians. Each centre has a senior dosimetrist working alongside a Medical Physicist and Radiographer teams. This MDT approach promotes an end to end overview of every patient through the pathway. I’d encourage applications from RCT registered clinical technologists or HCPC registered radiographers for the role of Senior Dosimetrist. Treatment planning/delivery/R&V is currently via Pinnacle/Elekta and Mosaiq, however we have global deals with both Elekta and Varian for near future deployment opportunities.
Both roles have a strong component of development work included as we strive for continuous improvement. GenesisCare offer a very competitive salary and Company Benefits, including Free Medical Cover, Free Dental cover, Free radiotherapy treatment to you and your family, 25 days annual leave with option to buy/sell up to 5 days – to name just a few.
Please contact me for more information or an informal and confidential chat.
Kind regards and looking forward to hearing from you,
Head of Medical Physics - UK
