The European Cancer Congress 2013
The 17th ECCO – 38th ESMO – 32nd ESTRO European Cancer Congress is an ideal platform for consolidating expertise and resources across borders and speeding up the translation of discoveries into applications that impact healthcare delivery. Organised in partnership with ESSO 33, EACR, EONS and SIOPE, focus has been placed on enhancing the scientific excellence of the ECC 2013 programme to ensure it plays a pivotal role in facilitating these processes.
A record 38 percent increase has occurred in the number of abstracts submitted in comparison to the Stockholm Congress in 2011. With such record submissions, the Congress will play a pivotal role in establishing standards for the future in Europe.

Leaders in the field of oncology provide an insider’s view on the ECC 2013
In anticipation of the 17th ECCO, 38th ESMO, 32nd ESTRO European Cancer Congress to be held from 27 September to 1 October 2013, members of the Executive Committee and leaders in the field of oncology recently gathered together to discuss the scientific programme, highlighting areas of most appeal to their discipline or profession, as well as topics of wider appeal to a multi-professional audience at the ECC 2013.
The panel made it clear that the Congress will play a pivotal role in establishing standards for the future in Europe and beyond, thanks to the powerful combination of seven senior organisations (ECCO, ESMO, ESTRO, ESSO, EACR, EONS and SIOPE) working together to reinforce the multidisciplinarity approach as optimal professional efficiency in practice.
